In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl became pregnant after being sexually abused by a 15-year-old minor boy, a close relative. The abuse reportedly occurred between March and May 2024 in the Ghorpadi area of Pune. The matter came to light recently and caused great distress to the victim’s family.
The Mundhwa Police have registered a case against the minor boy under Sections 376, 376(2)(n) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, 2012. The boy was taken into custody.
The victim’s 35-year-old mother filed a complaint. The accused, who lives in the same area as the victim, is the grandson of the complainant’s aunt. The two families live in close proximity. According to the complaint, the boy lured the victim to the first floor of the house under the pretext of playing hide-and-seek.
There he forced the girl to engage in sexual activity and threatened her with consequences if she revealed the incident. According to reports, the boy repeated this act four to five times, resulting in the girl becoming five months pregnant.
Police are currently investigating the matter to obtain further details
