This parking lot was planned to accommodate over 60 two-wheelers and 30 four-wheelers. Despite this, progress has been slow. Only a security wall has been constructed so far, and no further work has been started. This has led to growing impatience among commuters who were promised better parking solutions months ago.

Future Facilities

The planned parking lots are designed to cater to a range of vehicles, including commercial vehicles, bicycles, two-wheelers, and four-wheelers. Hemant Sonawane, the Public Relations Officer for the Metro, addressed the situation in a statement to Pune Times Mirror. “The parking work is underway through the Metro administration,” Sonawane said. “A parking facility is proposed at Pimpri, and the work will begin soon.”

The extended delay in starting the construction has made it difficult for them to trust that the promised facilities will be delivered on time. The lack of progress is causing growing frustration among those who rely on the Metro system daily.
