Around 1:30 p.m., the Fire Brigade received an alert about a person who had been swept away in the Mutha River near Bhide Bridge. Kamlesh Chaudhary, head of the Kasba Peth Fire Station, led his team to the scene. The team launched a search operation and found the person who had been carried away due to the released water in the river. They searched the Siddheshwar Ghat area near the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) building and successfully rescued Ajay Kumar Gautam, 45. His life was saved thanks to the prompt actions of the fire officers.

In a separate incident, around 7 a.m., firefighters were called to the Karve Nagar area. A person was reported stuck in the riverbed there. Officers from the Warje and Sinhagad Road Fire Stations quickly responded. They arrived with fire engines and a boat. Using ropes, life rings, and life jackets, they rescued the individual trapped in the river.

Additionally, at 9 a.m., two elderly women were trapped on the third floor of a building at Sun City on Sinhagad Road. Their door had closed suddenly, trapping them inside. Fire officers used a ladder to reach the third floor and safely rescue the women from their predicament.
